Dr. Dien Quang Bui was raised in Houston and in 1984, graduated from the University of Houston with a degree
in Electrical Engineering. He then went on to Texas Tech School of Medicine.

During his residency at Louisiana State University, he was trained extensively in Emergency Medicine. He
worked at Memorial Hermann Southeast where he later became the Assistant Medical Director. He then
transferred to Houston Northwest Medical Center where he had been a staff physician until 2007.

He has held many managerial positions at Houston Northwest Medical Center including Director of Clinical
Operation, Director of Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Chairman of the Emergency Department. He was also a
clinical instructor for Baylor College of Medicine.

Since 1997, he has been the Medical Director of  Emergency Medical Services and Director of Health and
Sanitary for the City of Pearland. He also initiated the Country Place Health Patrol team which was considered
to be one of the very first in Texas.

Dr. Bui has published numerous articles and has given numerous speeches. He is board certified in
Emergency Medicine and Clinical Thermology and  was elected a Fellow of the American College of Emergency
Physicians.

He has been trained in Cosmetic Medicine and Laser, Thermography, Weight Loss, Bio-identical Hormone
Replacement Therapy  and Mesotherapy. He has won numerous prestigious awards including outstanding LSU
research project 1996, Finalist for Physician of the year at Houston Northwest Medical Center ( HNWMC)
2002-2004, Best teacher/lecturer HNWMC 2004,  Emergency Department physician of the year 1998, 2003-2005,  
and  Emergency Department best teacher HNWMC 2004-2005.    In 2008, 2009 and again in 2010,  He was
named one of  the top Houston doctors by Houston (H) magazine.

Dr. Bui is happily married to his wife, Kim. They have one daughter Shannon and two sons, Justin and Matthew.
They have lived in Pearland since 1997

JOLENE HANZIK, RN, CFNP

Jolene Hanzik was born and raised in Texas and has lived in the Pearland area for seven years.  She
completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston where she
obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1998.  From 1998-2005 she had held prior roles as a Registered
Nurse in Emergency Departments at Baylor Garland Medical Center,  Memorial Hermann Southeast and Ben
Taub General Hospital.  She also worked in the Burn Unit at Memorial Hermann,  Texas Medical Center.

Jolene is an ANCC Certified Family Nurse Practitioner specialized in Emergency Medicine.  She earned her
Master of Science in Nursing at Texas Woman's University in Houston in 2005 and completed a Post-Masters
study focusing in Emergency Medicine at the University of Texas in Houston in 2007.   After she received her
FNP degree,  she worked at the Emergency Department at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where her
experiences included direct patient care and also functioned as a Client Service Manager and Lead Midlevel.

Jolene joined U. S. Air Force Reserve Command in 2000 and served as a Flight Nurse in the 433rd Air
Evacuation Squadron for four years.  She participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003 before resigning her
commission as a Captain.  She also works part time at the University of Texas Houston as an adjunct faculty.
Dr. SHERIDAN DIAZ, MD

Dr Diaz has comprehensive medical training.  She obtained her Medical degree from McGill University in
Canada after first completing an Honors BSc in Microbiology and Immunology, and then an MSc in
Biochemical Genetics.  She completed residencies in Anatomic/Clinical Pathology from Massachusetts
General Hospital and Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston;  she then did a fellowship in Laboratory
Medicine at Mayo Clinic.
After holding Academic positions at Boston, Concordia and Northeastern Universities and Boston College of
Medicine, she completed post-graduate training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics from Baylor College of
Medicine and UT-Health Sciences Center Houston, and in Medical Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in
Houston.  She has served in the US Army with a rank of Lt. Colonel, and subsequently as Chief Medical
Officer for the Department of Defense.  She is better known in Houston and Pearland for her work as primary
care physician at Mediclinics, MacGregor Medical Clinics, and Pearland Medical Clinics.
